8/1/13

The following are photos from our ferry ride on the BC Ferry. We got on at Prince Rupert, BC and got off at Port Hardy. We saw some whales again but not any chances of photos, the waters got very Rollie pollie in the open sea, we had a hard time walking. This was a 15 hour ride. We also got many hours of FOG, we kept thinking of "no fog, Wells" (Brodie's nickname from his sea days)
We then went to Port McNeil into Campbell River, BC for the nights stay. We headed out to Parksville where we went to the beach to see the sand sculpting. They started on the 15th of July and it goes for a month...they were in excellent condition. FAY and JACK, these are for you!
Only 8 more days of our vacation but we are getting ready to be home.

Inside the ferry loading the RV and car.
Ship yard of containers
Two little tug boats as we pull out.
Shore  line alittle ways out.
Another little tug boat, it's raining, can you tell?

Handsome Wilbur
This was our half way mark and they docked this ship right up next to this walk plank. Dad witnessed a touching scene...a you g man and two young daughters came running up to the gates trying to get in, the guard asked what they were doing and they just kept pointing to a woman coming off the ship. She was carrying a new born baby. It was this little families first time to see this little one. Sweet thing to see.

Totem in Parksville
This little tug was being painted and fixed up in a boat yard. I thought it was the cutest one I've seen! I gotta get me one of these,
A costume on display in the visitors center, made out of ties, very clever!

This is the little old woman in a shoe AFTER all the kids have left home! I love it!

This is a mirror image, unbelievable!

Handsome Wilbur, again...
