We have been in Prince Rupert since Friday. We drove to many sites and went hiking to Butze Rapids. Prince Rupert is a rain forest and is so green and moist. Theses photos will show the green but the depth is hard to see. So many times a sawed off stump will be covered in a moss, leaves and another trunk of a tree growing out the stump. Amazing stuff.
The church was small and yet everyone was so very nice and kind. They had a family of 5 baptized Sunday evening that we attended. So very awesome. The two missionaries were from Idaho and Utah! A cute couple, the Slocombe's invited us to dinner but things didn't work out but they were so very kind. Their children were adorable and fun.
We went to the Sunken Gardens, Dolly's fishhouse, Cow Alley, the Cannery, and many other pretty ocean view stops.
Enjoy the photos!

The trail to Butze Rapids

Along the hike

Some sort of berries that you can see thru??

See the new growth on the stump?

Tis is high tide coming in...these are in the opposite order, sorry. Notice the calm waters vs the rapids later on. Pretty neat to watch!

Along the trail again

Along the same path, there are "shore pines" so very different to see pines with ferns and moss and water!

There is also a warning that there are many wolves along this trail. YES, wolves are I town and the people have to keep an eye on their children in their yards.

Along the roots of the trees are SINK HOLES, a little boy at church said he had fallen thru one as he was out playing that afternoon, up to his armpits. Scary!!

Looks like a rope swing, miniature size?

Sink holes

Wild raspberries are EVERYWHERE in BC, but huge ones in Prince Rupert!

See the trees growing out of the stumps?

Trees grow out of the side of huge beautiful trees as well.
