Entering where the good food will be, NOT!

This is the fishing set up.

If you look close there is an Eagles face in the rock mountain, just below the trees on the top and to the left of the lone tree in the middle. Native legend.

Church in the village, says services when necessary... Hmmmm???

River runs thru it...

This was cool, we stopped along the road to take photos and the lava had a BIG crack along the side of the mountain, we were nervous that it would split off and it would be "lights out, Viginia"

The beautiful scene as we leave Stikine.
We drove from Whitehorse to a little nothing camp with LOTS of Mosquitos! It was 8 miles out of Dease Lake, BC. We got up in the morning of the 20th and went for a drive down a winding, dirt, gravel road to a little Native Tribe "Stikine." Within this tribe is a band called the Tahltan. There was supposedly a restaurant at the end of this 70 mile (@40 mph) road, so we didn't take a lunch. Since we have been to Platro restaurant, we figured we'd be ok...not so much. It was a beautiful little building in the middle of no where, but no food. They hasn't gotten a "food truck" delivery yet...there is a village of men out fishing and preparing the fish. It even looked like they had an old barn rigged up to smoke the salmon. The canyon and the water was beautiful but we left at 10 am and got home around 5 pm so it was a long day without much enjoyment of FOOD! ;)
We are traveling again tonight with the RV trying to find a church, but this may well be the first Sunday we can't get to a church but we are trying...
