7/21/13 meziandan BC

Today we drove to Stewart/Hyder BC and looked for the bears. They weren't there yet as the salmon are "at the mouth of the river" until the salmon come down further. We drove by a few dozen glaciers AGAIN...they are a dime a dozen but everyone magnificent to those of us that don't see them every day, every mile! The town of Stewart was very cute and had some of the neatest buildings and places to eat. We ate at a truck called The Dash. Very cute and clean and chrome shined! Great food. Enjoy these photos!
These next few photos are the glaciers and exact opposite side of the road across from the glacier ...

An old church in Stewart that is open every second and fourth Sunday...May thru Sept....they added on in 1978, they must get LOTS of people every second and fourth Sundays...;)
These are of an old restaurant in Stewart, she is in her late 80's and she supposedly uses these old antiques to cook with?? I LOVED all the antiques and the tables, settings and outside seating...

Grocery in Stewart, $3.50 for a doz. eggs and $6.49 for a gallon of milk. Gas was a BARGAIN @ 1.45 per liter
